The 15 Chakra System

I am not sure if you know that my training is not only in NLP, Time Line therapy®, Hypnosis, and Coaching, amongst other mainstream subjects, I am also an Energy & Soul Medicine Practitioner.

It is actually where it all began.

I started my Energy & Soul Medicine Practitionership before NLP, and studied for just over 2 years before completion.

It remains an integral part of my practice and holds much fascination for me.

I am a teacher of the mind/body connection after all!

A rainbow has a spectrum of 7 colours, but what we are seeing is light being reflected and refracted at different angles and wavelengths. The seven-colour spectrum is also used to describe the human chakra system, where we have relatively different frequencies operating across our energy body.

There are many articles describing the features and functions of the 7 chakras, but there is far less information available about a potential 15 chakra system.

The “Double Rainbow” Effect

We have all seen a double rainbow on occasion, where a second rainbow appears above the first one. Similarly, we can surmise that our energy body may have a second, more subtle energy spectrum that goes beyond the first 7 chakras, in which even higher frequencies may be experienced.

There is a similar layered effect in music. Musical notes are divided into octaves, where the eighth note in the first octave becomes the first note in the next octave. So, each octave has 7 notes where the 8th note begins the next octave. In other words, two octaves would contain 15 notes before beginning the third octave. If you believe in the idea of 7 chakras, it doesn’t require a great leap of faith to presume there may be another octave or layer – a second rainbow – to the human energy body.

If a musical instrument is not tuned properly, it will produce noise, but if it is tuned properly, it will produce music. And so, it is with the human energy body and its chakra system. If our energy body is clear and open and balanced, our life will reflect that clarity. If not, our lives will manifest as noise, with a lot of challenges, mishaps, and blockages.

Light and Sound

Notice the two analogies being used here – light (which produces a spectrum of colours) and sound (which produces a series of notes). Indeed, light and sound are the fundamental building blocks of the universe.

Both light and sound exhibit a range of frequencies. Such variance in frequencies can also be called “densities” or “dimensions” depending on how you want to describe the various layers of the universal architecture.

The basic idea is if we want to explore the full capability of our human energy body, we should become aware of the next range of frequencies which comprise the 15-chakra system. With so little information available around this topic, it is up to each of us to explore and experiment with chakras 8 through 15.

Chakras are also often grouped into threes. The lower three chakras are often grouped together, as are the next three and so on.

1st Chakra

The first chakra or root chakra is located at the base of the spine and is associated with the colour red. It is the chakra that governs your physical existence, your body, and your health. This is where your basic trust for the world and mankind is seated.

2nd Chakra

The second chakra or sacral chakra is located in the area that is about an inch or two under your belly button. It’s associated with the colour orange. This chakra governs sexuality, creativity and some say emotion. (I associate emotion with the heart chakra).

3rd Chakra

The third chakra or solar plexus chakra is located at the solar plexus and is associated with the colour yellow or gold. It is associated with wisdom, power, the will, or desire.

4th Chakra

The fourth chakra (the middle chakra in the chain of seven) is the heart chakra and is associated with the colour green and the colour rose or pink – which is the “colour of love.” This chakra is connected with emotion, healing, and love.

5th Chakra

The fifth chakra is located at the throat and is a bright blue. It governs communication and personal magnetism. It is the chakra that most influences intercommunication and our different “personas.” It is also the link between emotion and thought.

6th Chakra

The sixth chakra is located at the third eye (mid-forehead) and is indigo (deep purple/blue). This chakra is associated with thought (though some say the third chakra governs thought) and with awareness, psychic vision. It is also the chakra of spiritual love and connection.

Chakras 7 – 12 are associated with our higher self – our spiritual signature or Avatar, with connections to angelic and high dimensional realms.

7th Chakra

The seventh chakra is at the crown of the head and is violet fading to white further away from the body. This chakra is your connection to your “higher self” and your connection to the “divine.” It is associated with spirituality, wisdom, and integration of your eternal self with your current physical self. It is considered your umbilical cord to “God.”

8th Chakra

The first chakra of the fourth dimension and is called the seat of the soul. In the third dimensional chakras the number zero represents physical existence. It is solid and concrete. The seat of the soul now becomes the seat of our existence, just as the earth was the baseline for our existence in the third dimension. The associated colour is Seafoam Green.

9th Chakra

The ninth chakra corresponds to the base chakra in the third-dimensional chakra grid. The ninth chakra corresponds to the body of light. It has to do with joy. When this chakra is activated the body of light is now in your cellular and sub-cellular structure. Associated colour is Blue-Green.

10th Chakra

The tenth chakra is associated with the polarity chakra in the third dimension. It has to do with the integration of polarities—the proper integration of male and female within self. This chakra actually starts functioning when the male and female energies are in total balance. This is experienced as a state of effortlessness, and alignment with one’s soul. The associated colour is Pearlescent.

11th Chakra

This is the chakra of the New Age energies. It corresponds with the solar plexus chakra in the third dimensional chakras, connecting the third chakra to the eleventh chakra allows us to diminish the present and past life trauma stored in the third chakra. The eleventh chakra energy feeling will be like a wave, and it will move through your body and out again without staying in the body or without attaching itself to an area of misperception. Associated colour is Pink Orange.

12th Chakra

The twelfth chakra is the called the Christ consciousness, which is a transformational energy that connects all energy forms. It is associated with the heart chakra in the third - dimensional chakra grid. The associated colour is Shimmering Gold.

In general, the uppermost group of three – chakras 13-15 – is so subtle and mystical that it may be near impossible to discern from the perspective of a human body.

In other words, chakras 13 – 15 are like a primordial level of creation which permeates the whole of the universe – God, if you will. It’s like the part of the second rainbow that disappears into the sky, imperceptible to the human eye. At the upper bound, the highest chakras are likely to be pure sound and light.

13th Chakra

This Thirteenth chakra has to do with the manifesting of vibratory communication. This is the chakra that it is said to be used in materialising and dematerialising things. It is also the chakra used in teleportation. This chakra is also used for healing. The associated colour is Violet Pink.

14th Chakra

The fourteenth chakra has to do with the Divine Plan. It allows the mental mind to surrender. The fourteenth chakra is saying that you are allowing the Divine Plan to show you the way without reviewing or evaluating from your mental thought beliefs. This chakra corresponds to the third eye in the third-dimensional chakra system. It is bringing clairvoyance into the fourth dimension. It is said to be the beginning to activating your unlimitedness. The associated colour is Deep Blue Violet.

15th Chakra

The fifteenth chakra has to do with your Monadic (God) connection. It corresponds to the crown chakra in the third-dimensional chakras. The seventh chakra is your spiritual connection. With the fifteenth chakra your new spiritual connection is to the Monadic level. This brings us to the doorway of ascension.

It is said that when this chakra is operating it is saying that the structure of your soul is stable enough to handle the energy and the scope of the information coming from the monadic level. The associated colour is Light Golden White.

I am far from an expert in this field and mainly consider the 15-chakra system from an energy medicine perspective. However, I do find it useful to emphasise the 12th chakra during meditations as this chakra is the highest chakra that still connects with our own individuality – our Avatar signature.

Note that when I use the words “high and low” to create a distinction, but higher is not “better” than “lower” any more than red is “better” than green. The key is that all the colours shine bright.

I have also done some reading where it is postulated that there are 22 chakras – 16-22 being Fifth Dimension Chakras. I will let my curiosity guide me!
